Ages: 15+ or Grades: 9th – 12th
An in-depth approach to art studio practices in Painting/Drawing, Digital Art, and Printmaking/Mixed-media will be provided by instructors who specialize in these areas. All classes will be conducted in the art department’s studio facilities. Students will receive individualized attention from university faculty who are experienced artists in each medium. The creative exploration of art themes and concepts will be covered including personal expression and critical analysis. This will provide an opportunity for students to build on an art portfolio for professional use or college application requirements.
Students will work for one week each in the mediums of Painting/Drawing, Digital Art, and Printmaking/Mixed-media. A different member of the faculty of the Department of Art will instruct the class for each week. They will be specialists in their respective fields. The very last day students will work on creating a gallery exhibit of their work.
Don’t miss out!
There will be an exhibition of student art work followed by a reception at the end of the Young Adult Art Studio. Parents will be informed of the date and time for the exhibition during the weeks prior to the end of camp.
